JOSB DONE CAMPAIGN WEBSITE GETS A FRESH NEW LOOK
The JOSB Done campaign has championed the benefits and uses of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) for five years now and its one-stop-shop website has just been given an exciting new look. The new www.josbdone.com site, which went live this July, has clear messaging, clear content and a clear aim - to be the industry's most extensive and reliable online resource when it comes to OSB.
The website is divided into four key zones to make it simple for visitors to track down the information they need:
- WHAT - all you need to know about OSB, how it is made, what it is used for and answers to frequently asked questions
- HOW - all the ways in which OSB can be used
- WHERE - detail on where to find OSB
- ENVIRONMENTAL - information on OSB's credentials, quality and recommendation by The Greenpeace Guide
There is also a dedicated news section where further information can be found on the uses of OSB within all manner of building work, including various case studies with merchants, builders and timber frame companies.
Alastair Kerr, spokesperson for the campaign and Director General for the WPIF, comments: "The JOSB Done campaign has always been responsive, to changes within the industry and to the way that panel products are specified and used. The website has always been a big part of this and through detailed analytics, we have been able to keep our pulse on what issues people are really concerned with when it comes to OSB.
"The website doesn't just look different, to reflect this year's advertising creative - it has been re-designed so that information is quick and easy to locate and with the new, more engaging content, we hope to be THE definitive OSB resource. We have monitored what people really want to know about OSB and this new website delivers on all counts. However, we know that priorities change which is why www.josbdone.com will be kept up to date with the latest campaign news as well as the information we know people want to see."
The JOSB Done initiative is supported by leading manufacturers SmartPly and Norbord, resin supplier Huntsman and the Wood Panel Industries Federation. Back for a fifth year, spreading the word about the uses and benefits of OSB as a versatile alternative plywood, the campaign is dedicated to addressing the issues of sustainability and the sourcing of environmentally sound timber panel products within the UK construction industry.
